Cycling holiday: Bangkok to Chiang Mai 10 Days

Day 1: Arrive in Bangkok in Thailand
– Explore the bustling capital city and take in the sights like the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Khao San Road.

Day 2: Bangkok to Ayutthaya (approx. 80km)
– Cycle out of Bangkok towards the ancient city of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the impressive ruins and temples.

Day 3: Ayutthaya to Lopburi (approx. 80km)
– Continue cycling north, passing through small towns and villages. Stop in Lopburi to see the famous monkey temples.

Day 4: Lopburi to Phitsanulok (approx. 120km)
– A longer cycling day through farmland and countryside. Arrive in Phitsanulok, an important religious center.

Day 5: Phitsanulok to Sukhothai (approx. 80km)
– Cycle to the UNESCO-listed historical park of Sukhothai, the former capital of the Sukhothai Kingdom.

Day 6: Sukhothai to Lampang (approx. 120km)
– Longer ride through scenic rural landscapes and small towns on the way to Lampang.

Day 7: Lampang to Phrae (approx. 100km)
– Cycle through the lush Doi Khun Tan National Park and onto the quaint town of Phrae.

Day 8: Phrae to Nan (approx. 120km)
– A challenging but beautiful ride through remote countryside to reach the historic town of Nan.

Day 9: Nan to Phayao (approx. 120km)
– Continue cycling northward, passing peaceful rice fields and hill tribe villages en route to Phayao.

Day 10: Phayao to Chiang Mai (approx. 120km)
– The final leg of the journey takes you to the northern city of Chiang Mai, where you will end the cycling in Thailand.
